God cares about your WATCH and your Time! #TestimonyThursday

Today's testimony is an interesting but relevant one. In 2016 I got myself a beautiful watch for my birthday, a black watch with white polka dots, no numbers, just a plain beauty, it was my absolute favorite! Unfortunately with most things in life, wear and tear kicked in. So I changed the wrist band (straps) and not to long after then the glass face fell out, thankfully it didn't break, so I kept it safe in the hopes of carrying it to a professional to get it repaired. I was disappointed that most of the places that fixed watches said they don't repair the glass. After a few tries, I decided that I will make it my own DIY project. I got a really nice glue (at a Dollar Zone, yasss hunty, you know I love me some Dollar Zone! 😄) that I thought will work for putting my beloved watch together.

Time passed by and I didn't get around to fixing it, but this particular day I felt like dressing up at work, and dressing up for me included wearing a watch (don't judge me)... so I took a chance and wore the watch without the glass face (biggest mistake ever!) It held up well throughout the day and I was happy about that, but later on that evening as it was almost time to go home... an incident occurred! See what had happened was, I got comfortable in my seat and somehow placed my left hand on my head in a resting position, I don't normally sit with my hands on my head, especially at work because it's not what you would consider "formal" posture, but I did it that evening...

This, sadly was the same hand I usually wear my watch on, and that day I was sporting semi twists on my hair. I had no idea what was about to happen next. I took down my hand and I felt a pop, then a resistance... and guess what? ....
You guessed right, my watch hands were stuck in my hair, I had to jostle with it a bit cause my hair is kinky textured and a watch hand is a very small object, I finally got it out and noticed that the second hand was missing. I started loosing out my twists, dusting my hair, shaking my head downwards, shaking out my clothes, even my undies (this thing is tiny ya'll, I had to cover all grounds, lol) I looked on my desk, moved my chair, looked on the ground... I did everything to find that second hand for my watch.

Then I stopped and prayed, I think I remember saying something like: "God, I know this watch is old, but I like it and I was gonna fix it, I even bought the glue to do so, please help me find this second hand, thanks in advance. Mel." I paused, as if to reassure myself, then I started looking again. I moved the chair away the second time and I bent down to take a closer look and there it was under the chair, I picked it up and smiled so hard and said "Yesssss, yes God, thank you! Thank you God!" I sat down with a sense of joy and relief and tried to put back the pieces together, but that didn't work out... nevertheless I was happy that I found all the pieces and that there was hope that I will be able to one day fix and wear my favorite watch again. God came through yet again for something so small, but because of how small it was I really appreciated and understood how much God really does care about the small things, the small details of our lives.

Life can get so crazy at times, sometimes even the little things bother us, we can't find our keys when we need them, we get stuck in 20 minute traffic on our way to work, the weatherman said it was gonna be sunny but it rained, Instagram won't let us be great to post our beautiful stories when we want to, the internet be tripping so it takes half hour to get our video uploaded to YouTube when it should only take 10 minutes...the list goes on.

Sometimes we forget that God cares about us in every aspect of our lives and we can talk to him about those things too, not just when we have big goals and dreams, like a spouse, a house, a car, a dream job.... He cares about things like watch hands and us finding our keys or us being in traffic; so talk to Him about it. When you do, it does something to you, you feel comforted that you have someone to talk to in the moment; you realize you don't have to do this alone, and if you really trust God you will most certainly get a "calm" when you pray about things. He may not always answer the way we want, but He knows what's best for us, whether it's a "Yes", "No" or "Not Yet" He has the perfect answer to our prayers.

He cares about our time yes, yes our time! He wants a relationship with us, He wants us to include him in our day; not just when we want things from Him, but He wants us to thank Him and give Him praise for all that he has done, is doing and will do. And most importantly He wants us to put Him first in our day!  Remember "When we give God our Best, we will be Blessed!"Why don't you give it a try? Let me know how it works for you...
